A dark shadowy figure dashed from the bedroom door to his bed. Was it a shadow person? David had read about them—vague, dark shapes that one could vaguely see out of the corner of one's eye that would vanish when looked at directly. He stared at the figure standing by his bed. It didn't vanish. It might be a burglar. The figure slid underneath his bedcovers.
