About Me

I love collecting books—especially ones about England, ghosts, Bigfoot, cookbooks, gardening, historical romance, and anything really old. (The oldest book in my collection is from 1820!) Reading is just as much a passion for me as writing. One of my favorite authors is Rebecca Connolly, and right now I’m completely caught up in one of her historical romance suspense novels. I can’t wait to find out if they catch the thief!

I also love spending time at the beach. Sunset Beach in Oregon is my favorite, but I’ve also enjoyed the beautiful beaches in Australia when I lived there. Waratah Bay was especially wonderful, with its wide sandy shoreline and amazing view of Wilson’s Promontory. I also love browsing thrift stores, hunting for old treasures and seeing what unique items I can find.

Ghost Hunting

An electromagnetic field detector is used by electricians to locate electromagnetic radiation. Ghost hunters believe that spirits emit electromagnetic radiation and use this tool to hung ghosts. Surprisingly, strong fields of electric energy can lead to hallucinations, including ghost sightings.

Ghost Signs

Signs that you may have a ghost in your home: the room gets cold, doors open on their own, whispering, creaking stairs, pets behaving strangely, strange smells, and electronic devices turning off or on on their own.

Quotes

I kept always two books in my pocket: one to read, one to write in.” — Robert Louis Stevenson

Sometimes the ideas just come to me. Other times I have to sweat and almost bleed to make ideas come. It’s a mysterious process, but I hope I never find out exactly how it works. I like a mystery, as you may have noticed.” — J.K. Rowling.

London Highwaymen

A journey to London seemed to us in those by-gone days as hazardous and darken adventure as could be forced on any man. I mean, of course, a poor man: for to a great nobleman with ever so many outriders, attendants, and retainers, the risk was not so great, unless the highwaymen knew of their coming beforehand, and so combined against them. London Timekeepers

"They were so frequently robbed of them that a watch must have been a very usual possession and one suspects they were an eighteenth century substitute for a savings bank account. "London Life in the Eighteen Century"
